About Us

Georgia Jumper Dude is a family owned small business that was started by Dillon and Madison Taylor. Spiders were definitely not always loved in our home but what started as a fear, turned into a passion. Through a few unexpected encounters, some time as a pest control tech., and a lifetime of experiences, a business was formed. We started out with a few wild caught spiders that we adopted into our home,  which quickly turned into an obsession. We decided to purchase our first Phidippus regius “Regal” Jumping spider and the day that she arrived, was the day that we rushed our youngest son to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with type one diabetes. This moment rocked our entire lives and my wife Madison immediately had to leave work so that she could care for our son as we made the transition. No more than a month later, we find 200 unexpected little black dots inside of our new girl Tiki’s enclosure and we immediately felt overwhelmed knowing that we had to raise them up and find homes for them in the middle of a very turbulent time in our lives. This was the start of Georgia Jumper Dude. If not for my wife, Madison leaving her job due to the recent diagnosis, there’s no way we would have been able to raise up all those Spiders and start the business that we have today. One of the biggest tragedies of our our lives, led to the greatest thing that has ever happened to our family. After a year of extremely hard work, long hours, sleepless nights, dedication, and the grace of God, I was able to leave my job working construction to work full-time for all of you. We thank God for taking some of the most difficult and seemingly hopeless situations, and turning them into something amazing, that has brought so much joy, purpose, and life back into our home and for allowing us to share that same joy and life to all of you.
